Trescal gives a new name to Livingston Calibration in Germany.

From May 2005, Livingston Calibration GmbH, whose head office is in Darmstadt, is now named Trescal GmbH. Trescal GmbH is part of Air Liquide S.A., worldwide leader in industrial and medical gases. Air Liquide has gathered its European calibration activity under the Trescal brand name. Well known companies, such as Livingston Calibration or Metrotech (in France), Arepa (in Denmark), ITM (in Spain) or MG Tarature (in Italy) are part of the Trescal Group.  

The Trescal Group, European specialist in calibration services, independent from the manufacturers, is active in 40 sites throughout Europe ; it employs 840 highly qualified persons who serve more than 15 000 customers in various sectors such as the car industry, medical equipment, the mechanical industry, aeronautics and space or telecommunications. In Germany, Trescal GmbH operates seven calibration laboratories, at Berlin, Darmstadt, Donauwörth, Esslingen, Hildesheim, Rottweil and Wolfsburg.

 In its laboratories, Trescal performs calibration services in the electrical, dimensional, mechanical and physical fields. The laboratories of Trescal GmbH are accredited by the german accreditation body, the Deutschen Kalibrierdienst (DKD).

 In addition to usual calibration services, Trescal offers a broad range of services and specific solutions,  such as maintenance and repair of equipment, logistics handling, quality insurance, cost analysis and optimization, software and hardware IT solutions, as well as on-site calibration or equipment pick-up and delivery service.

Calibration sales totaled 70 million euros in 2004.
